This article will show you how to switch your Loop from an existing or old phone onto a new phone.

This tutorial assumes you are using T1Pal Loop with OmniPod Eros and Dexcom G6.

First, take these steps with your old iPhone:
  • Find and make a note of the G6 Transmitter ID.  This is found in the G6 Mobile under Settings.
  • In Loop settings, disable Loop by turning Closed Loop off.  Tap on the Pod to find the pod settings and disable the switch for the radio link (Riley, Orange, or Emma).
  • Turn this phone off and put it aside

On the new phone
  • Install the Dexcom G6 Mobile App from the Apple App Store
  • Start the app and log in with your Dexcom account
    • Enter transmitter ID
  • The Dexcom G6 Mobile app will rejoin your active sensor/transmitter session.
    • Glucose readings will appear after 15 - 30 minutes.

Now to get Loop running.
  • Install the Apple TestFlight app on your phone from the Apple App Store
    • Start TestFlight and install the MDN T1Pal Loop app.
  • Start the MDN T1Pal Loop and find Loop settings.
    •  Add the Dexcom G6 in the Loop setup using the same transmitter ID you recorded earlier.
    •  Add a pump to Loop.  Follow the prompts to enable the radio link device and start a new pod.

You have now switched Loop to your new iPhone. Enjoy!
