This guide explains how to use T1Pal services safely and reliably with your OS-AID systemThis is discussed during your Account Setup meeting. A slideshow version of this guide is attached

Thank you for choosing T1Pal!

Email and account communication

  • Monitor all email accounts linked to your Apple ID and Google ID for messages about TestFlight apps and your T1Pal.com login.
    • Programs and websites you use to read email can be configured for multiple accounts
      • Refer to the documentation for what you use to enable this.
      • To prevent these emails from being filtered, add them to your known contacts.
  • All communication regarding your T1Pal account, billing, and Nightscout subscription is sent to your Google ID.
  • All communication about your TestFlight apps (Loop, Trio, Caregiver, Loop Follow, etc.) is sent to the Apple ID used with those apps.

Payments, cancellations, and app access

  • If a payment fails, five notification emails are sent. If the payment is not resolved, your Nightscout subscription is automatically cancelled.
  • Cancellation means you must reconfigure Nightscout, Loop, and Caregiver.
    • I will send you instructions so you can do this yourself.
    • You can also schedule a workshop for assistance.
  • T1Pal does not automatically revoke access to your Loop app; it will continue working until the TestFlight build expires.
    • You can check the remaining time until expiration in the TestFlight app.
  • Missed Zoom workshops will incur a $25 fee if not canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled date.
  • The first month of billing for a Loop app support subscription begins when you schedule your training sessions.
    • You can cancel your subscriptions at any time.
    • No refunds will be given for your first month's subscription after training is scheduled.

TestFlight updates and instructions

  • Apps are usually updated or refreshed around the beginning of each month, but exact timing can vary.
  • When an app is refreshed to extend the expiration date, you will receive a notification at your Apple ID.
    • Always read this notice for important information.
      • If the description reads “Please continue testing,” no action is required; your app will update automatically.
      • If the message differs, carefully follow the instructions in that email to avoid interruptions to insulin delivery.

Workshops and Zoom sessions

  • When scheduling a workshop, read the Calendly description to understand what to expect and how to prepare.
    • In some cases, failing to follow these directions may require rescheduling.
  • Whether joining from a desktop computer or a phone, the Zoom Workplace app must be used.
    • The Web Browser version will not work for our purposes.
    • Please test your Zoom apps prior to the workshop using https://zoom.us/test
  • Join Zoom workshops from a location with:
    • A stable, high‑speed internet connection
    • Adequate privacy and minimal distractions
    • Do not join a workshop from a vehicle, whether parked or moving.
  • Ensure your phone is at least 50% charged.
  • Workshops cannot be extended if another client is scheduled immediately afterward.
  • T1Pal cannot support critical tasks (such as Loop app installation) if these conditions are not met, for safety reasons.

Support, emergencies, and scope of help

  • Always email support at support@T1Pal.com rather than sending messages to an individual mailbox at Medical Data Networks.
    • The individual mailbox is not monitored for client requests due to a high volume of automated messages, and those emails may not be easily identifiable.
  • Emails to support@T1Pal.com are monitored closely during and beyond normal business hours, but T1Pal does not provide emergency support.
    • For any life‑threatening situation, contact your physician’s office or emergency services immediately.
  • If your situation is urgent but not an emergency, add “URGENT” to your email subject line.
    • A faster response cannot be guaranteed, but your ticket will be prioritized during review.
  • T1Pal is not a clinical service and does not recommend specific device settings.
    • I have no medical credentials and will never provide medical advice or guidance.
    • T1Pal’s role is to show how your OS-AID system works and how to find the information you need so you can work with your credentialed care team to adjust settings and take action under their direction.
